About Orange Beach, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Found in Baldwin County, Alabama, Orange Beach is a popular tourist destination, and about 5,500 residents call the community home year-round. This city is located on the Gulf of Mexico, and it is known for being the easternmost community located on Alabama’s Golf Coast. The City of Gulf Shores is located to its west, while Florida’s Perdido Key borders the community on the east. In terms of education, older students complete high school in neighboring Gulf Shores, but the private online-only university Columbia Southern University is also located in Orange Beach.

Orange Beach is a popular tourist destination, so there are numerous attractions located here. There are a variety of tours, activities, and charters for fishing and nature watching, including Orange Beach Sailing Charters and Sunset Cruises, Dolphin Fun Dolphin Cruises, and Barefoot Family Dolphin Tours and Boating Safaris. Other outdoor activities can be enjoyed at Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail and the Orange Beach Waterfront Park. There are also a variety of family-friendly activities, including Fat Daddy’s Arcade and Sharky’s Family Adventure Park.

Residents and visitors of Orange Beach enjoy the year-round mild temperatures. The spring and summer months are especially popular for outdoor recreation, but when high temperatures combine with high humidity, weather conditions can sometimes become uncomfortable, especially indoors. For this reason, Orange Beach resorts and homes are equipped with energy efficient air conditioning systems to keep interior temperatures cool while also minimizing cooling expenses.

During the winter, temperatures average in the upper 50s or low 60s. While this makes the climate quite comfortable, thermostat readings can fall to the freezing point overnight, making indoor temperatures quite cold. For this reason, residents will invest in a heat pump or furnace to stay warm, although they typically aren’t needed for more than a couple of months each year.
