About Summerdale, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Summerdale is a small, rural town located in the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley Micro Statistical Area. It is located in south-central Baldwin County and is home to about 900 residents. The Naval Outlying Field Summerdale is found in this town. Summerdale is found within the Baldwin County Public Schools system, but Summerdale School, serving grades K-8, is the only school in the community. High school students will continue on to Foley High School in neighboring Foley to complete their education.

Despite being a small community, there are a few notable destinations in Summerdale. Summerdale has two major tourist destinations. The first is Alligator Alley, which is an alligator farm that allows visitors to hold and feed gators. The second is the Spear Hunting Museum, which claims to be the only similar museum in the world. However, visitors to the area may still enjoy checking out one of the community’s specialty shops, including Magnolia Landscape Supply, the Fireworks Supermarket, and Cote’s Music.

Summerdale residents will need to invest in both home heating and cooling systems to use at different points during the year. During the winter, temperatures tend to stay mild in the upper 50s. Snowfall is rare, but overnight lows can fall to the freezing point or even lower. Without a heat pump or furnace in place, interior temperatures could become dangerously low, and pipes and plumbing could also be liable to freeze. These are expensive repairs that can be avoided entirely with the proper climate control systems in place.

During the spring and summer months, weather conditions warm up to the 90s or even higher. Humidity is also extremely high in this portion of the U.S., so thermostat readings can be misleading. To be the heat, Summerdale residents will want to have their central air conditioning units serviced during the spring to make sure that they are working correctly when the hottest conditions move into the area.
